At St Teresa’s we believe that Art and Design is an important subject that stimulates creativity and imagination in a child. It enables the children to communicate what they see, feel and think through the use of colour, pattern, form and texture. They learn and explore various artistic techniques and ideas by studying many artists and designers. Studying contemporary art, cultural art and art from different periods of time will help with the understanding and appreciation of how art impacts our lives. Children become involved in interpreting Art and Design through their perspective. It is a fundamental means of personal expression.
